I find beauty and memories in the simple things of everyday life. The layers of an onion, the dimples on an orange, the vibrant flowers of summer. An old mixing bowl reminds me of baking oatmeal cookies with my grandmother, a canning jar brings back memories of country fairs, a bushel of apples recalls just how good homemade apple pie is. Gathering these objects together, I look for patterns which create a rhythm that invites you into my paintings.
